Anderlecht just introduced Steven Defour as reinforcement. The Belgian international will wear number 16. His former club FC Porto also announced the transfer fee: six million euro.

Defour is therefore the most expensive transfer in Anderlecht's history. After landing Mitrovic last year for five million, the record is again broken. Together with variable rewards, the sum can even reach 6.5 million euro.

"It's important for me to regain my pleasure for football. I want to play. During my time in Porto I did not really make progress. But by playing more, I hope to increase my level again." Defour played five years for rival Standard de Liège. He admits this made his transfer more complex: "Yes, it was a hard decision. I had five fantastic years in Standard, but now I will do everything I can to help Anderlecht."

The Anderlecht manager, Herman Van Holsbeeck, is proud: "We brought a Red Devil to Brussels. We are proud we realised this. This may even be one of the largest transfers in Anderlecht's recent history."

Further, Van Holsbeeck also announced that there will be more news about Van Buyten tomorrow.
