RSC Anderlecht defeated AA Ghent on sunday by 0-2. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the first goal right before half time. Ibrahima Conté made the second on a counter attack and decided the match.


Ghent dominated most of the match, but only had a few decent chances. Proto had to do make a few saves and made a lucky escape when Lepoint headed the best chance of the match next to the goal in the second half.

Anderlecht was more efficient though. Mitrovic scored right before the break when Acheampong and Conte had set up a good action on the wing. It was Anderlecht's first opportunity. The 0-2 fell on a counter attack. Conté was faster than goalkeeper Sels and scored. Ghent kept trying, but Anderlecht's defence kept the nil.
