Well-deserved victory against Ghent

GAMES Anderlecht obtained a well-deserved 2-0 victory against AA Ghent last Sunday. They were the best team on the pitch but needed a lucky goal from an offside position to take the lead. Anderlecht are still three points behind Club Bruges.

AA Ghent started off as the dominant team, but the best chances were for Anderlecht through Praet and Defour. After 38 minutes, Kara scored after a free kick by Alexander Büttner, the linesman did not see this was clearly offside.

Anderlecht were the better team in the second half, without any real chances. Frank Acheampong managed to score the 2-0 shortly before the final whistle.
