GAMES The game against Bruges could be followed in Anderlecht as well, on four big screens. Right after the match, there were a few incidents around the stadium when small groups started fighting. The police had the situation rapidly under control. Yet, with the title this close, we would like to ask the fans to keep their cool and to refrain from all violence.
In Bruges, the match had to be stopped for a few minutes when the home fans started throwing things, including fireworks, to goalkeeper Boeckx. The goalie reacted on the incidents after the match: "I was not hit, but I believe a person working for the television was. His headphones were knocked off his head", he said.
And also coach Weiler was hit by a projectile right after the game. Instead of giving a reaction in front of the television, he went to the doctor for a check-up. According to assistant coach David Sesa, Weiler will be fine: "He was hit on the thigh and went to the doctor just to be sure."
