DAMES The Red Flames wrote history last night in the Manchester City Academy Stadium and qualify for the quarterfinals of the European Championship women's football for the first time, by winning against Italy. Tine De Caigny scored the only goal of the game, which was also good for the next round, the quarter-finals.
The Red Flames finished second in their group with four points. On Friday at 21h00, they will have to deal with Sweden, number two on the FIFA ranking.
