INTERVIEWS Hendrik Van Crombrugge will play his 100th match for RSC Anderlecht tonight. The goalkeeper is quite proud of that, but this milestone is insignificant compared to the importance of the match against Young Boys.
"Just like last year, this game is very important, even if it's hard to compare them," Van Crombrugge said prefacing the game at the press conference. "Against Vitesse, we were still looking for ourselves and we had to integrate a lot of new players. This is not the case this year. Obviously we had to adapt a new system and we managed to do it quite quickly. Our results are the best proof of that."
If Van Crombrugge gets a clean sheet against the Swiss, RSCA will be qualified for the group stage. "It's about having a certain mindset. If you have three central defenders in front of you who know they can keep the zero, it makes things so much easier."
Van Crombrugge concluded by releasing the pressure a bit. "Let's not overstate the importance of tonight either. It could have a negative effect in the end."
