'Anderlecht wants to attract French World Cup U20 goalkeeper'

TRANSFERS According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Anderlecht want to acquire 20-year-old Etienne Camara from Huddersfield. Camara is a defensive midfielder who played 20 games last season, 13 of them he was in the starting eleven, for Huddersfield in the English second division.


Camara swapped Troyes for Huddersfield in 2020 and progressed to the first team this season. He still has a contract until 2024, but would not want to extend it, according to Romano. In addition to Anderlecht, Udinese are also said to want to contract him.

Over the past few days Camara has been playing with the French U20 at the World Cup in Argentina. During the first two (lost) duels, he did not come off the bench. In last group stage game against Honduras, he played the full ninety minutes. France won 3-1, but were still eliminated.
