INTERVIEWS Zeno Debast and Mario Stroeykens opened a football square in Anderlecht on Wednesday evening, together with rapper Damso. Debast looked back on the past period, one without play-offs, and looks forward to the preparations with hunger.

"The past period wasn't the most fun of my career, watching the play-offs hurt, so I didn't do that as much as possible. But it's up to us now, we've had time enough to reflect on everything that went wrong."

Debast will only join RSC Anderlecht after his international commitments with the national U21.
"But I will be ready and there is still plenty of time to train with the group. I'm hugely hungry to get back into it."

Future
Debast himself is under contract for one more year, he did not make any big statements about his future.
"I have a career plan but I prefer to keep that to myself. My heart is purple, but a future in football is not an exact science, you never know what will come your way. But the focus remains with Anderlecht."
