Other goalkeeper when Verbruggen leaves

TRANSFERS That Bart Verbruggen is heading to England, no one doubts yet. But according to Het Nieuwsblad, Anderlecht is not planning to make Hendrik Van Crombrugge first goalkeeper again. The club would be looking for a new first goalkeeper.


However, it will not all be very simple. Anderlecht will receive a big sum for Verbruggen anyway, but when will the deal officially get done? Verbruggen is currently at the UK U21 which lasts until 8 July. Van Crombrugge does enjoy interest from Genk, but would have to make a financial sacrifice there and would mainly act as back-up for Vandevoordt, who is enjoying a holiday after the U21 European Championship. And will Anderlecht let Van Crombrugge go if it has not yet found a replacement for Verbruggen?

The league starts in the weekend of July 29-30. Even Nostradamus would not be able to predict at this moment which team Anderlecht will appear at the kick-off of the first match.
