OTHER No club in Belgium lured more television viewers last season than Anderlecht. That is according to figures announced today by official rights holder Eleven Sports. On average, 319,698 people watched purple and white per match.
Anderlecht did manage to charm fewer viewers last season than the season before. Back then, 54,000 more people watched each match.
Nevertheless, Anderlecht continues to lead the ratings. Club Brugge follows in second place with an average of 289,932 per match. Racing Genk (256,844), Antwerp (251,225) and Union (248,056) follow at a greater distance.
The best-watched match last season was the discontinued duel between Standard and Anderlecht. 555,735 viewers followed that match on television.
