OTHER Although talks with Racing Genk have been ongoing for a long time, Hendrik Van Crombrugge is still an Anderlecht player. If that is still the case in a fortnight' time, there is a chance he will be in goal during the first league match. That's what coach Brian Riemer reveals.
Riemer admits that both Anderlecht and Van Crombrugge are holding talks with Racing Genk. "But as long as he is with us, I consider him an Anderlecht player," Riemer said. "If Hendrik is still here on 28 July and he feels good, he will be eligible to play against Union."
If Van Crombrugge is not deployable against Union, Colin Coosemans is set to make his debut for Anderlecht. "Coosemans is good with his feet and is also a build-up goalkeeper," Riemer says of the 30-year-old goalkeeper who recently extended his contract by four years.
Finally, Riemer also leaves open the option of having a new goalkeeper on board by then
