INTERVIEWS Kasper Dolberg was immediately impressed by the project presented to him by Brian Riemer and Jesper Fredberg. Other clubs came forward but he became more and more convinced as time went by that RSCA was the best offer for him. He could have opted for a more lucrative contract, but the RSCA project took precedence over money.

The fact that he has a compatriot in the club also made his choice much easier, as it will allow him to feel at home at the club. During his first training session, he immediately picked up on some of the ideas he had picked up at Ajax.

According to him, his first year at Nice was a good one, but then things got complicated, as they did for the whole of the French club," he says. He will be diagnosed with diabetes in October 2021, but he is constantly monitoring the condition, which he says does not limit his footballing activities.

His loans to Sevilla and Hoffenheim were not successful, and he no longer wanted to be loaned out by Nice. He wanted to leave for good. He signed a four-year contract with RSCA, which reassures him and makes him feel more relaxed than he did last season.

He needs a relationship with the coach to develop fully and score goals, and he got on well with Patrick Viera and Peter Bosz, with whom he felt confident. The fact that he doesn't celebrate the goals he scores is part of his personality, he remains very calm but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy every goal.

He hasn't yet done the same sessions as his new team-mates, he still needs to regain a certain level of fitness, so a schedule has been put in place to get him back into a good rhythm. He concludes by saying that he hopes to be fit to play 90 minutes in his first league game against Union.
