Official: Anderlecht rents Augustinsson

TRANSFERS Another deal that is now officially complete, that of Swedish left-back Ludwig Augustinsson (29). The Swedish international comes over on a rental basis from Sevilla. 


In 2015, Augustinsson made the switch from Sweden's IF Brommapojkarna to Copenhagen. He then played for Werder Bremen and Sevilla. At Sevilla, he was previously loaned out to Aston Villa and Mallorca. Augustinsson is a Swedish international and has already played 51 times for his country. He participated in the 2020 European Championship and the 2018 World Cup.

There is no mention anywhere of whether Anderlecht were also able to take up a purchase option on the transfer, though.

CEO Fredberg: "Ludwig is a left-back who has played in almost all major leagues. He will have an immediate impact on the pitch, but he will also be able to use his experience off the pitch to help young talents like Moussa N'Diaye in their development."
