Dane Sörensen in the picture as replacement Delcroix

TRANSFERS After the departure of Hannes Delcroix, Anderlecht only has one left-footed central defender in the squad with Jan Vertonghen. According to Het Nieuwsblad, this is why Bech Sörensen is in the picture. The interest in the 24-year-old Dane is not yet concrete.


Sörensen traded Horssens for Brentford at the age of 18. So he is no stranger to Brian Riemer. A breakthrough at Brentford was not yet possible. Last season, Sörensen was loaned to Wimbledon (2019-2020), Nice and Groningen (2022-2023). At Groningen he was a basic player during the second half of last season, but the club was relegated from the Eredivisie.

Sörensen is under contract with Brentford until the end of this season. His market value is estimated at 2.5 million euros. Het Nieuwsblad describes Sörensen as 'a plausible track'. There was still no contact between Anderlecht and his entourage, according to the newspaper.
