Dear Mauves,

After 3.5 years together, the time has come for our paths to part. But before that happens, I want to think back to all the beautiful moments we experienced together and the immeasurable support I always received from the club and the supporters.

Thanks to Anderlecht, I realised my dream of playing football in Europe, competing for titles and playing European. On a personal level, I arrived as a young guy, but leave with a family. The love and support my family and I received is forever in our hearts.

A special mention goes to my teammates. Many became friends. Thanks also for the coaches I had during my time here. Without them, it would be impossible to take this next step in my career. I also don't want to forget the members of the staff like the physiotherapists, doctors and equipment man. Without them, the players would not be able to evolve.

Finally, in a very special way, I want to dedicate some words to the supporters. We suffered, we cried, we celebrated and we won. I will always remember the afternoon we spent together at Lotto Park and all over Belgium. Wherever we were, the 'mauves' prevailed everywhere. That is the most beautiful victory for any footballer.

Thank you very much.
Once a mauve, always a mauve
