Ashimeru and Verschaeren on the right track

INJURIES Brian Riemer gave an update on the long-term injuries to Yari Verschaeren and Majeed Ashimeru. Both players are training individually on the field and optimism is high that they will return to group training soon. 


The RSCA coach sees positive developments and it is not impossible that Ashimeru will return after the international.  The Ghanaian has been suffering from a torn hamstring muscle for weeks, but he is almost back to full fitness. He has yet to measure his efforts in the sprints. 

Yari Verschaeren is ahead of schedule and could possibly play again in 2023. This was not originally planned. Obviously, taking a risk with Anderlecht's No. 10 is out of the question, but aiming for a comeback this year remains an objective.
