INTERVIEWS Kasper Dolberg has had two very intense weeks. Becoming a father, scoring against KV Mechelen and being called up for the national team again. According to coach Brian Riemer, the striker is ready to bang against Standard on Sunday.

"It was a stressful period for him, but fortunately in a positive way," Riemer told his press chat this morning. "That Friday was his birthday and he became a father of two girls for the first time. The day after he was called up for Denmark. The girls are doing tremendously well, as is his girlfriend. I currently see an overjoyed man walking around Neerpede. He is enjoying the moment. Everything around him is positive at the moment. Against Mechelen, I saw a guy with an enormous desire to perform."

That Dolberg would play against Mechelen was not a given for Riemer. "I was in doubt," the coach admits. "I spoke to him on the phone on Friday and told him 'Well Kasper, becoming a father is a great event.' Then even for the first time, abroad, twins'. But he answered me, 'Coach, I want nothing more than to play for Anderlecht tomorrow.' That gave me the feeling that he was completely ready. He is also very much looking forward to Sunday's game. I have no doubt that he is ready."
