Four Anderlecht players in Danish selection

GAMES The Danish national coach today announced a selection of 22 players for the European Championship qualifiers against Slovenia and Northern Ireland. All four Anderlecht Danes are in the squad. Remarkable too: in the picture accompanying the announcement of the selection, two of the three players there are from Anderlecht.


Kasper Schmeichel and Thomas Delaney have been regulars with Denmark for years. Dolberg was allowed to report last international period in extremis after another player was out injured. For Dreyer, it has been March, and before that November 2021, since he was called up.
