Tedesco: "Vertonghen is question mark, but I'm positive"

INTERVIEWS Domenico Tedesco included Jan Vertonghen in his selection of 26 players for the next two internationals. However, he is not quite ready yet. Tedesco hints that Vertonghen will not yet play Sunday with Anderlecht against AA Gent.


"Vertonghen is still a question mark," Tedesco told me. "It does seem to be getting better and better. I spoke to him over the phone a few days ago and I also spoke to the doctors. I have a positive feeling that we can have him back with the group during the week at the latest."

"If he doesn't get ready for Wednesday's match against Serbia, then possibly for Sunday's against Azerbaijan," the coach concluded.
