Asking price Debast: 18 million plus bonuses

TRANSFERS Portugal's Sporting Lisbon appear to want to get ahead of the competition for Debast by acting early and making an initial formal bid. According to Portuguese sources, Sporting want to put down a €16 million bid, but that will not be enough. Debast still has a contract until 2025 and there are several interested clubs. Fredberg is therefore playing hardball and wants at least 18 million plus bonuses.


Debast himself is open to a move to Portugal, but other clubs such as Ajax, Frankfurt, PSG and Milan have also been linked to him.

Anderlecht is in no hurry, however, and seems to be waiting for the European Championship to make Debast's value go up.
