Anderlecht started the Champions playoffs well. They won 1-0 against Antwerp, although tomorrow they can bring a big basket of chocolate eggs to Wijndal, who got a red card shortly before half-time. Indeed, in that first half Anderlecht struggled, but after halftime they did create chances against a man less. Sardella pushed a cross into goal and could have scored a few more times after that as well. After their 1-5 victory in the first match in Antwerp, Anderlecht confirmed their place in the final of the Belgian Cup in Roosdaal last night. Purple and White defeated Antwerp 7-4 and are in the final together with Futsal Team Charleroi, which will be played on April 20.  Read more »

Calendar: Anderlecht opens at home against Antwerp

The Pro League has announced the calendar of the playoffs. The Champions playoffs begin on Saturday, March 30, with Anderlecht's game against Antwerp. The following week, Purple and White can head to Bruges for the first time for the away game against Club. The Champions play-offs end on May 26. There is a midweek playing day at the end of April. Anderlecht won 1-0 against Eupen. It started strongly and scored through Hazard. Anderlecht seemed to be heading for a big win, but after 15 minutes things suddenly became difficult and Anderlecht played sloppy in the zone of truth. Even after halftime, Anderlecht could rarely threaten. The narrow lead caused the necessary nervousness, but Eupen had too little offensive qualities to score the equalizer.
