OTHER Very sad news was to be reported after the match against Cercle Brugge. An Anderlecht supporter had become unwell during the match and had to be resuscitated on the spot on the main stand. The man later died in hospital and the players and staff only heard the news after the match. Brian Riemer spoke afterwards of a sad evening and that the team's thoughts are with the family of the deceased supporter. Read more »
GAMES An efficient Anderlecht has beaten Cercle Brugge 3-0. Anderlecht did not play thunderously, but struck when possible against a (far)weak(t) Cercle. Leoni gave the home team the lead and immediately afterwards Dreyer doubled the score after a Cercle mistake. In a dull second half, Leoni made it 3-0 after a Warleson blunder. Yet there was also a damper on the revelry. Both Dreyer and Schmeichel had to leave early and it is to be hoped that their injuries are not too serious. Read more »
GAMES Anderlecht efficiently defeated Cercle Brugge 3-0 in a match where the home team capitalized on their opportunities. Leoni opened the scoring, followed by Dreyer doubling the lead after a mistake from Cercle. Leoni added a third goal after a blunder from Warleson in the second half. Anderlecht remains on top of the league, but also Bruges impressively defeated Genk with 4-0. So the gap remains two points. More reason for concern, are the injuries of Dreyer and Schmeichel as both players had to be replaced yesterday. Read more »
INJURIES At the press chat ahead of tomorrow night's game, Brian Riemer did not have such good news about Yari Verschaeren. Verschaeren is still out. He will definitely miss the double clash against Cercle Brugge and he will undergo another scan. Read more »
OTHER Thomas Delaney, the 32-year-old Danish midfielder, is on loan from Spain's Sevilla with an option to buy amounting to €3 million. Delaney has so far played 20 games for RSCA, in which he has scored one goal and provided two assists. According to Le Soir, Sevilla would be willing to drop the price to €1.5 million. Read more »

OTHER The RSCA Futsal team showed last Saturday in Ghent that they are still the best in Belgium. With Steven Dillien as top scorer, Anderlecht managed to win its seventh Belgian Cup by beating Charleroi by a whopping 1-8. Marco Kana remained on the bench during Kortrijk's match against RWDM, where his team lost 2-4 and are now bottom of the league table. TRANSFERS Portugal's Sporting Lisbon appear to want to get ahead of the competition for Debast by acting early and making an initial formal bid. According to Portuguese sources, Sporting want to put down a €16 million bid, but that will not be enough. Debast still has a contract until 2025 and there are several interested clubs. Fredberg is therefore playing hardball and wants at least 18 million plus bonuses. Read more »
