Anderlecht supporter passed away last night

OTHER Very sad news was to be reported after the match against Cercle Brugge. An Anderlecht supporter had become unwell during the match and had to be resuscitated on the spot on the main stand. The man later died in hospital and the players and staff only heard the news after the match. Brian Riemer spoke afterwards of a sad evening and that the team's thoughts are with the family of the deceased supporter. Read more »

GAMES An efficient Anderlecht has beaten Cercle Brugge 3-0. Anderlecht did not play thunderously, but struck when possible against a (far)weak(t) Cercle. Leoni gave the home team the lead and immediately afterwards Dreyer doubled the score after a Cercle mistake. In a dull second half, Leoni made it 3-0 after a Warleson blunder. Efficient Anderlecht secures 3-0 victory over Cercle

GAMES Anderlecht efficiently defeated Cercle Brugge 3-0 in a match where the home team capitalized on their opportunities. Leoni opened the scoring, followed by Dreyer doubling the lead after a mistake from Cercle. Leoni added a third goal after a blunder from Warleson in the second half. Anderlecht remains on top of the league, but also Bruges impressively defeated Genk with 4-0. So the gap remains two points. TRANSFERS Portugal's Sporting Lisbon appear to want to get ahead of the competition for Debast by acting early and making an initial formal bid. According to Portuguese sources, Sporting want to put down a €16 million bid, but that will not be enough. Debast still has a contract until 2025 and there are several interested clubs.
