Club Brugge has appointed former Anderlecht coach Robin Veldman (38) to replace Nicky Hayen, who is leaving Club NXT to succeed the sacked Ronny Deila. The Pro League has announced the calendar of the playoffs. The Champions playoffs begin on Saturday, March 30, with Anderlecht's game against Antwerp. The following week, Purple and White can head to Bruges for the first time for the away game against Club. The Champions play-offs end on May 26. There is a midweek playing day at the end of April. Anderlecht will soon announce what steps it intends to take against the decision to have to play a match behind closed doors, according to Het Laatste Nieuws. The Disciplinary Committee of the KBVB punished Anderlecht last week for the problems with supporters in the cup match against Standard in December. Standard also received the same punishment. The Super League, a new European soccer competition, has been given the green light by the European Court of Justice. This competition will not be organized by UEFA, but by A22 Sports Management. In this open competition, 64 clubs would participate in a system somewhat similar to that of the Nations League for country teams. In an official announcement, Anderlecht announces that they and Standard have decided not to allow any more away supporters in their mutual confrontations until mid-2025. The immediate cause was last Thursday's incidents during the cup duel, but in the recent past the match in Liege was already permanently stopped twice due to problems.
