Anderlecht didn't gave Roeselare a chance and scored 5 goals. Luigi Pieroni scored 2 goals and contributed 2 assists. The other goals were from Boussoufa, Hassan and Biglia.

Roeselare has a reputation of playing negative football, but Anderlecht started furiously with 2 good chances in the first 10 minutes, but Pieroni could not finish them.

An inspiring Hassan opened the scoring with the help from Luigi Pieroni and a horrible mistake from the Roulers goalkeeper, who parried a centered ball straight to the feet of Hassan who didn't have to do much. Pieroni would again be the provided 3 minutes later when he threaded a perfect through ball to Boussoufa who beat the offside trap and placed the shot perfectly to make it 2-0.

Anderlecht then took their foot off the pedal, but ten minutes before half time again looked for a goal. Lucas Biglia scored his second goal (first non-penalty) for Anderlecht, after a scramble outside Roeselare's penalty area.
3-0 was the score at half time, Anderlecht truly coasting.

Ten minutes into the second half Pieroni stopped assisting and began scoring, his first goal of the evening. The new loan recruit would double his tally 4 minutes before injury time to cap off a wonderful evening for Anderlecht.

Thanks to this victory, Anderlecht becomes third in the competition, alongside with this season's revelation Cercle Brugge. Leader Standard still has 9 points more than the Purple and White, and second in place Club Brugge is 5 points ahead in 2nd place.

Note: Nicolas Frutos made his comeback after an injury that kept him of the field for 3 months.
