After the poor match against Mouscron, and the day before the topper in Liège, Anderlecht is getting nervous. Chairman Vanden Stock and manager Van Holsbeeck were present on training.

But after some hail they went back to their office. Most players ignored the press, and also on Hugo Broos the tension is sensible, though he tries to keep away the pressure from his team.

"I hope we can keep up the good playing level like we did in Heusden-Zolder and against Beveren, after our poor match against Mouscon last Saturday. I still claim this was due to a lack of freshness. Only one day of rest after a trip to the Maledives, Malta or Albania isn't enough."

"I'm still convinced we will become champion, even if we would lose against Standard. But it's very annoying that we have to wait so long to take the title. That's because of our weaker period, and the good shape of Club Bruges. But I can't imagine Club Bruges winning their six last matches, after they've already won 10 games in a row."

"I would be happy with one point and a good match against Standard. But we will start with the goal to win the game, though that won't be easy after the good match of Standard in the first round. But if we can win, Standard isn't a competitor anymore for the title, and it's getting closer to us then. Surely if CLub Bruges would lose some points against Charleroi this weekend."
