Anderlecht trailed for 70 minutes, but hit back with 4 goals in 6 minutes to win with 4-1 against a brave Sint-Truiden, who joins FC Brussels in relegation and the second division next season.
Anderlecht started poorly, and Sint-Truiden scored after 7 minutes. It was the first shot on goal from the "Canaries", and returning goalkeeper Daniël Zitka had to pick the ball out of the net.
Anderlecht continued to play badly, but managed to create some half chances when half time was arriving, yet still no equalizer.
In the second half, Anderlecht seemed eager to turn the situation around. At the hour mark, Rocky Peeters received his second yellow card after a foul on substitute Jonathan Legaer.
Anderlecht continued to pressure the ten men side, with Wasilewski hitting the post on a good free kick from Lucas Biglia.
Ten minutes before the end, Frutos broke the deadlock on assist of Pieroni. A minute later, Boussoufa made the 2-1 on assist of Legear. It was him again who again gave the assist for the third Anderlecht goal of the evening, again for Frutos.
A few minutes later, the Argentine made his third of the evening. He is now topscorer of Anderlecht with 8 goals.
Anderlecht did what it had to do in the end, but it was a hard fought victory. All eyes are on the match of Club Brugge tommorow against Roeselare with the match of next week between Anderlecht and Brugge in mind.
