Austria v Poland 1-1

The match between host country Austria and Poland ended up in a 1-1 draw. When the 90 official minutes were played, it looked like victory would be Polish, but in the 92nd minute Austria was able to score through penalty.


After 30 minutes Guerreiro scored the only Polish goal of the game: 0-1. Anderlecht defender Marcin Wasilewski played for the second time in a row 90 minutes. After an hour, Wasyl received his first yellow card of the tournament. The Polish fans thought victory was theirs, but in the 92nd minute Austria was given a penalty for a fault made by Bak on Kienast. Vastic didn’t miss and therefore spoiled the Polish party that already had been started.
