Jan Polak joined the group again this week. It took him a while to get over the defeat against Turkey in the European Championships. "I can asure u, I had nightmares about that match" so says Polak in Het Nieuwsblad.

"We have to blame ourselfs for that loss, because we weren't focussed for 90 minutes. That's why Turkey made the 3-2 in the dying minutes. I just want to forget about it now, because it can't effect my play at Anderlecht''.

"The Tsjech wants to go for the title now. "I had some trouble last season to find my place in the team. The press asked me lot of questions about that, I have to say that worked on my nerves. But I'm feeling great now, and I have one ambition now: to become champion with Anderlecht. It would be my first title."

After the EK, there was concrete interest from Shakhtar Donetsk. "There was indeed contact with Donetsk. My manager spoke with them, it was a very good offer, but the way of life, and the long traveldistances made me decline the offer. I feel good in Brussels, so why should I leave?"
