Only 1-1 draw against Lierse

The Mauves couldn't celebrate their title in a decent way. Anderlecht reached in Lierse only a 1-1 draw. Several players of Anderlecht had a purple head-dress.


The new Belgian champion was not able to celebrate the title with a victory.
The first chance of Anderlecht was immediately rewarded. Wilhelmsson fell in the penalty area after an interference by Fassotte, and Jestrovic could score the penalty kick. The duels between Kompany and De Bilde coloured the moderate game. It sure was difficult for Kompany, but he always stayed cool. "We want to win", said Sels during half-time.

Lierse came very aggressive out of the lockers. Delorge was soon able to score the equaliser. Lierse played better an better after that goal, but they couldn't score anymore. After the whistle, the fans celebrated together the title with the Anderlecht-players.
