Anderlecht defeated Westerlo tonight. The final score was 2-0 with Boussoufa scoring in the first half and Biglia in the second. Anderlecht are now ranked third on two points of Brugge and one of Standard.
Coach Jacobs had to do without Frutos and Wasilewski due to suspension. Suarez and Kruiswijk came into the team. Polak was ready to play.
Anderlecht took the best start on the snowy field with several good chances. After 10 minutes, they were already leading thanks to a goal of Boussoufa.
Anderlecht controled the game and tried to double the lead. Legear had the best chance on doing so, but goalkeeper De Winter saved.
The second half proved to be different. Westerlo showed more attacking intenses and created a few good chances. Tomou's effort went out via the upright. Van Kerckhoven's shot was saved by Zitka.
Westerlo's offense then slowly diminished and Biglia scored the 2-0 for Anderlecht after a nice action and with only a few minutes left to play.
