After the game against Moeskroen Gillet said the penalty was very light. Anderlecht will to its player about this. He has to be more careful when he says something, thinks Van Holsbeeck.

“Gillet is the way he is. He’s a young, talented player, always available for the press and always telling the truth. But the players have to realise that, with every word they say, they can criticise Anderlecht in a bad way. Some media take advantage of this, says the manager in Het Nieuwsblad.

In Het Laatste Nieuws was written that Anderlecht gave Gillet a fine, but that’s not true. Today, Van Holsbeeck will talk to Gillet about this, but there won’t be any fine. “We’re just going to tell him that Anderlecht stands for fair play and that we have a code for not criticising the referees. The players also have to think about what they say to the press.”

Meanwhile, Standard asked to suspend Gillet based on TV images. It's very unlikely it will come this far though.
