At the moment, Aruna Dindane is playing in the French second division. His European debut was at Anderlecht and he has not forgotten about that club. “I give all my football shirts away, except those from Anderlecht,” he says.

Today he says in Het Nieuwsblad he wants to come back again. “Maybe as a player, maybe as something else,” he says. “I know that Roger Vanden Stock’s door is always open for me. We’ll find each other once again.”

In 2000, Anderlecht got Aruna from the Ivory Coast to Belgium. He stayed for 5 seasons and in 2003 he even won the golden boot. His hoped transfer to a European top club didn’t come, so he moved to the French side Lens. Last season, his team went to the second division, but is working hard to go back to Ligue 1. Aruna is playing a big part in that.
