Deschacht: "Looking forward to Kirin Cup"

For the first time in 3.5 years, Olivier Deschacht is a Red Devil again. The defender was chosen by interim-coach Frank Vercauteren to go to the Kirin Cup in Japan and he is very happy about that.

"I never stopped hoping,” says Deschacht, who already booked a trip to Marbella. “I’ll cancel my trip with pleasure. I have no problem doing this for Vercauteren.”

"In the end, he’s the trainer who launched me. I know there are a lot of players who are not in to the Kirin Cup, but I’d love to go. Hopefully we win the title, otherwise our season at Anderlecht already starts 12 June. When you return from Japan the 1st June, I don’t have much spare time,” says Deschacht.
