Ariël Jacobs realises that Anderlecht can’t complain about the 1-1 as a result. “During the first half we had to be happy it stayed 0-0,” says the coach to Sporza.

"The five players who were at one card of suspension didn’t dare to play to the fullest. That’s why we couldn’t win most duels.”

In the second half Anderlecht quickly lead with 1-0 because of Legear’s goal. “It was a beautiful goal,” says Jacobs. “It also had a positive effect on the group. Everyone got some trust and I though we were going to kill Standard. But they got one chance and Mbokani scored.”

"If Standard is a favourite? They can be. We are going to get a lot if space during the return game. Even if it’s 1-0, we’ll get chances. It’s definitely not over.”
