Onyewu takes Van Damme to court

Oguchi Onyewu from Standard filed a complaint against Jelle Van Damme because of racism. The Anderlecht player would have called Onyewu “dirty monkey” during the first test game.

Onyewu is now taking Van Damme to court because he feels there is still too much racism on football fields. The American with Nigerian roots has asked Jean-Louis Dupont as his lawyer. He was also involved with the “Bosman-case”.
