"Some fans barely dared to make some noise"

As already announced, Anderlecht wants to have a better atmosphere and therefore it counts on the new “atmosphere-block” A2. One of the 633 places will cost about 280 euros.

Head of this project, Eddy Spinnoy, explains: “Up until now, most noise came out of stand 4, where the Mauves Army is located. Elsewhere there are other Anderlecht-fans who would like to make more noise, but barely dare because they might disturb people who want to watch the game calmly. So the leaders of the club came to the idea to bring those people together in block A2.

“This place offers a lot of advantages. It’s located on the other side of where the Mauves Army are, so the atmosphere is equally divided. Also 90% of those people don’t have a season-tickets. So few people will have to move. At last, this part is located just beneath the roof which make the noise sound very loud,” the sales-manager says to Foot Magazine.
