Anderlecht has a lot of injured players. But Ariël Jacobs doesn’t panic and counts on his young players to take their chance on the field. Here is a small summary of the youngster Ariël Jacobs has in mind.

Reynaldo Dos Santos (20):

'Reynaldo hasn’t been in the team the last few games because we have too much attackers,” Jacobs explains. “We didn’t have enough defenders and we have to find the right balance in the team. Plus, lately Reynaldo missed some confidence, that’s why certain things didn’t go that well.”

Christophe Diandy (18)

'He makes a lot of progress and obtains a good level. He wants to learn and is patient. Several players want to join the A-team, but just like Reynaldo he misses some confidence. But both players are options to start a game.”

Romelu Lukaku (16)

'I don’t know whether or not two games in five days is too much. We can’t put a limit on him because he’s so young. When I let him play every game and he gets injured, it’s my fault. When I don’t put him on the field, people ask me why? Against Gent I wanted to take him off, but each time he touched the ball, he was dangerous.”

Matias Suarez (21)

'After Sivasspor he didn’t play that well against Kortrijk. But one game isn’t enough to say he’s not doing well. He worked hard in Zagreb and got kicked a lot. He’s not used to playing two games a week. Now he can also speak French, so everything is going better. I’m not panicking.”
