Deschacht: "Jan and Toby are sure of winning"

In La Dernière Heure Olivier Deschacht shows a lot of respect for Ajax, their opponent of tonight. “Ajax’ budget is three times as big as ours,” the captain of RSCA said.

"Ajax is a team that should always play Champions League. I have a lot of respect for them, but we will play for the three points as well.”

Yesterday, Deschacht talked to Ajax-players Vertonghen and Alderweireld about the game. “They told me they are going to win easily,” said Deschacht. “Who am I to disagree? I stay modest. Jan and Toby have the Dutch mentality: they like to laugh with things and exaggerate. But it doesn’t bother me.”

"Whether or not the Dutch championship is stronger than ours? There is more space and maybe a bit more quality. But it’s just another way of playing.”
