The list of injured players at Anderlecht is getting longer and longer. In Het Nieuwsblad, doctor Sas comments on how Polak, Zitka and Frutos are doing. “We’re trying to get Polak ready for the play-offs.”

Daniël Zitka, who broke his ankle almost a year go, is doing well. “He’s training with Filip De Wilde, but once and a while he still feels something. We’ll know more in January.”

"Frutos’ problem is cured for about 90%,” says the doctor. “The collaboration with his therapist, Juan Mendoza, is going well, but Frutos still has to train to get his old level back. Sivasspor was important, and there we took a risk, which was worth it.”

The staff however, seems to have learned its lesson concerning letting Frutos play too fast. That’s why Lukaku started on the bench on Sunday. “I’m happy our coach followed our advice and didn’t put Romelu on the field against Brugge. The day before he could barely kick the ball because he was so tired,” Sas said.
