Anderlecht remain at one point of leader Brugge after a 0-2 victory on the field of KV Mechelen, ranked third. Lukaku and Boussoufa scored the goals for the visitors.


Anderlecht took a furious start and put pressure on the home defence. The result was an early goal. Lukaku scored after 11 minutes on a pass of Boussoufa.

The Mauves slowly lost control over the game then and Mechelen had good chances via Nong and Gorius. Olivier Deschacht also prevented the equaliser with a good defensive action.

In the second half, Anderlecht took control again. Lukaku missed the first good chance, but Boussoufa doubled the lead later on with a nice effort. With this lead and 30 minutes to play, Mechelen couldn't react anymore. Lukaku had another good chance to score a third goal for the Brussels' club, but he missed. Later on, he was replaced by ... Nicolas Frutos.
