Anderlecht celebrated their title in style last night. Runner-up AA Gent was beaten with 4-2. The home crowd could enjoy a good game, despite the fact that Ariel Jacobs granted some of his reserves a place in the line-up.

The game was just one minute old when Van Damme already scored with a header on a good cross from Chatelle, who had replaced Boussoufa in the starting line-up.

Anderlecht kept on creating chances and was unlucky when Chatelle's effort hit the upright. But just a few minutes later, Suarez could score a nice goal on a low center of Lukaku. Before the 15th minute, it was already 3-0 when Chatelle controlled the ball and put it in the upper left corner.

Anderlecht could have made a few more before the break, but Biglia, Van Damme and Gillet missed a few chances. Proto only had to intervene once on a shot of Ljubijankic.

The second half took a different start. El Ghanassy, who had replaced a weak Ljubijankic, dribbled through the defense, but his effort missed the target. A bit later, Mazuch and Juhasz both missed the ball due to a misunderstanding. Coulibaly thanked by scoring the 3-1. Seven minutes later, Grondin even made the 3-2 when the whole home defence was caught sleeping.

Though Anderlecht reacted immediately and Gillet scored a beautiful goal: 4-2, the final result.

In the last few minutes, Polak made his come-back after a long injury. When the final whistle was blown, the players showed their Championship trophy to the fans.
