The first half was very poor. Anderlecht just had one chance on a free kick of Legear. Eupen did what they could and even scored: one of their few efforts hit the crossbar, returned into play and was scored in the rebound: 0-1. Meanwhile, Anderlecht had lost Biglia with a serious shoulder injury.

Continue reading The second half was different. Anderlecht put a lot of pressure on Eupen and created chances. The visitors finally cracked when Suarez scored on a corner kick. Soon, Boussoufa offered the 2-1 to Legear and later Suarez and Boussoufa put some real daylight between Anderlecht and Eupen: 4-1.
