A very weak Anderlecht lost points yesterday against SK Lierse. The Belgian champions were leading 0-1 thanks to a goal of Mazuch, but Lierse, down to ten men, managed to equalise via Sonck.

The game was just boring all along. Lierse, under their new trainer Van Meir, proved to be well organised. But when a ball wasn't cleared from the box, Mazuch could score: 0-1.

Early in the second half, De Graef of the home team got red due to a hand ball. Anderlecht seemed certain of the three points, but their slow and weak play allowed a ten men Lierse to equalise via Sonck. The Belgian champions didn't have a reaction so the game ended in a draw.
