Anderlecht are the big winners of this weekend. The Mauves defeated leader Genk with 1-2 and are now just 2 points behind in the ranking. Kljestan and Lukaku scored the goals.

Genk started well, with some pressure and a small chance, but it were the visitors who scored. Legear opened well for Boussoufa who was pushed in the back while shooting on goal. His effort hit the crossbar and American Kljestan scored the rebound.

Anderlecht defended well and managed to keep the home side away from their goal. But when a combination between Kouyate and Boussoufa went wrong, Buffel could benefit. He lifted the ball over keeper Proto and equalised.

The pace dropped after this goal and the equal score s
stayed on the scoreboard until the break.

Anderlecht started well in the second half, with an excellent Legear causing danger with each action. And his actions also led to a goal. He centered from the wing and Lukaku headed the ball against the nets.

The Mauves continued on their drive but goalie Courtois saved Genk. Though the home side was also dangerous: Proto saved an effort and Camus missed the rebound for an open goal. A bit later there was another good chance. Proto saved again, Mazuch cleared the rebound from the line, a third attempt was stopped by Proto again, but the fourth effort for Genk went in. Luckily for Anderlecht, the linesman had correctly flagged for off-side.

The game remained exciting until the end, with Anderlecht having some more chances, but the score remained 1-2.
