Anderlecht beat STVV this weekend with 2-0. Kanu and Suarez scored the goals. The Mauves had a difficult time with the visiting defence, but broke through eventually.

The Mauves put STVV under pressure from the start. Lecjaks had the best chance, but his header was cleared from the line. Anderlecht kept chasing for the opening goal, but was disconcerted when Suarez also had to save his team on a corner kick. The visitors restored the balance for a while and the game went up and down. Quite rapidly, Anderlecht took over again, but also Boussoufa wasn't able to open the score before the break.

After the pause, Kanu rapidly scored. When Odoi got his second yellow, the game seemed to be decided. But a good Proto was needed to keep the visitors from equalising. Not much later, Suarez doubled the lead though. The Mauves had some more chances, but eventually choose to control the game. That way, the score remained 2-0.
