Westerlo to defeat Anderlecht

Anderlecht lost the first place to Racing Genk today. The Mauves probably played the worst game of the season, didn't create a single chance and was sent home with a 2-0 defeat.


The first half was simply boring. Only De Kelver had a good chance: his effort was stopped by the upright. Anderlecht didn't show anything.

At the beginning of the second half, it seemed that the visitors were taking the game into hands. There were a few small chances and a bit of pressure. But Westerlo was not really impressed. When Mazuch made a foolish mistake in the box, the ball was placed on the penalty spot. Iakovenko scored. Not much later, De Kelver doubled the lead and Anderlecht ... did nothing.
