Eupen-Anderlecht 1-1

Anderlecht missed the chance to place Genk at three points. The Mauves allowed Eupen to equalize in the last five minutes, while Genk lost. On top of that, De Sutter and Kanu got injured.


The game was quite boring, with just a few chances. Eupen played as a team at the bottom is supposed to do: with a big fighting spirit. Anderlecht could not create many chances, but managed to score via Lukaku a few minutes before half time. Proto gave the assist.

The second half was more of the same. Anderlecht dominated, but Gillet and Lukaku forgot to double the lead. Close to the end of the game, Espinal equalized when Proto was unable to push away the ball far enough after a hard shot of Vandenbergh.
