Pablo Montes Suarez died last Monday

Anderlecht youngster Pablo Montes Suarez died last Monday after a long battle against leukaemia. The 20 year old right winger came to Anderlecht three years ago. Before, he played for Brussels.


Montes Suarez was blessed with a good technique and was a promissing player. He missed a part of last season due to his illness, but started training again in September. Around New Year it became clear his illness had evolved beyond a cure. This week, he died.

Via Twitter, Romelu Lukaku expressed his feelings. They played together in Anderlecht's youth teams. "R.I.P. Pablo Montes Suarez Tu restera Un Ami a vie! :(", he wrote (R.I.P Pablo Montes Suarez. You will remain a friend for life).
