Anderlecht to beat Gent

Anderlecht defeated AA Gent on Wednesday with 4-1. The home side made the difference in the second half. At half time, the score was equal (1-1). With the defeat of Genk, Anderlecht are 3rd at 3 points of Genk and Standard.


The first half was weak with Gent controlling the game. There weren't many chances, but Arbitman scored for the visitors half way the first period: 0-1.

Anderlecht could not react, but took advantage when the Gent defence lost the ball to Lukaku. He brought Anderlecht back into the game short before half time.

Anderlecht changed tactics in the second half and quickly scored 2-1 via a good Badibanga. Gent collapsed and Anderlecht gained confidence leading to several more chances and goals of again Lukaku and Suarez: 4-1.
