Anderlecht ended the season in style. Standard was beaten with 3-0. Afterwards, the title festivities took place next to the stadium. Before the game, all price winners and player that will leave, were honoured.

Anderlecht seemed eager to win this last game and took a good start. In just a few minutes time, the Mauves created more chances than they had done in last week's match against Brugge. Though, the opportunities were missed and Standard proved to be dangerous on the counter attack. Schollen saved Anderlecht twice.

Halfway the first half, Mbokani scored. Schollen launched a quick counter attack. Molins brought the ball to the Congolese, who scored. Afterwards, the pace dropped and the home side controlled the match.

The second half brought more of the same: a dominating Anderlecht and Standard trying to counter attack. After being caught by the offside trap twice, Suarez eventually broke through the defence thanks to a backheel pass of Mbokani. He played the ball around the Standard goalie on the left, ran past him on the right, and pushed the ball into the goal: 2-0.

Ten minutes before the end, Canesin scored his first goal in the Belgian League in the Vanden Stock Stadium. He fell on his knees and celebrated emotionally. The game ended on 3-0.
